Bedtime routine chart
The same seven steps in the same order every night, so bedtime stops being a fresh negotiation. Tidy up, bath, PJs, teeth, toilet, story, lights out, with a box to tick for each night of the week.
Free, one page, no email needed. Prints fine in black and white.
What's on it
- Tidy up, bath, PJs on, brush teeth, toilet, story, lights out
- A tick box for every step, Monday to Sunday
- A star to color in for each night that finished on time
- Space for a name and for lights-out time
How to use it
- 1 Write lights-out time at the top and work backwards: if the list takes 40 minutes, that is when it starts.
- 2 Keep the story near the end. It is the part worth hurrying the rest for.
- 3 No bath tonight? Cross the box through together. The order matters more than a full row.
- 4 Stick it in the bathroom or by the bedroom door, wherever things usually stall.
